This NFT was inspired by an interview with Chenggang Zoa, the creator of Binance, better known as Cizi.
In Rubens’ original 16th Century painting, "Thetis Receiving Amour for Achilles”, Hephaestus, the Greek god known as a blacksmith, craftsman, and creator of tools is depicted delivering his wares. In this NFT we liken Cizi, the founder of Binance, to Hephaestus who was adored for creating armor and tools of protection.
We find Cizi in simple clothes. Highly creative and intelligent, Cizi’s early years were humble, even working at McDonald’s to contribute to his family’s daily living expenses. In an interview he described himself as the “blacksmith of the crypto world”, thus the heavy mallet by his side. He has often said, although he never succeeded in trading himself and he doesn’t know how to use the 'tools' he’s created, he does know, how to create them. He describes himself as an ordinary man who loves the idea of giving people a chance to help themselves to better wealth and financial stability. The treasured wallet he holds in his hand was a gift from a grateful fan.
Next to Cizi, we see an ordinary family receiving a wallet from Cizi, the group behind them also gratefully receiving a wallet, both representing the Binance platform. The pillars on either side represent Ethereum, Bitcoin and the blockchain, all key elements of Cizi’s inspiration. Binance is contracted with the Ethereum blockchain, thus we see Vitalik, the creator of Ethereum, depicted as Poseidon. To the right is Zeus, representing Bitcoin and the elusive Satoshi Nakamoto, long held to be the creator of Bitcoin. The cherubs atop are holding fruits and crypto coins, representing the riches of our future. These cherubs are a nod to the angel investors that helped make Binance possible. The Caribbean waters in the background represent the Grand Caymans, headquarters to Binance and the home of the biggest crypto exchange platform in the world.
Ramona Köhler (aka Magnetic Red) is a German artist, based
in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. Her studies in Art go as far
back as she remembers... as a child she was drawing almost
every day and she loved to design characters and fantasy
inspired worlds in which her characters came to life. Ramona
works in many mediums such as pencil, pen, watercolour,
acrylics, photography, digital paintings, print media, stage
design, tattooing and theatrical fire performances.
After she finished her time at the academy for fine Arts in Enschede, her art found its way to bigger exhibitions such as Psy-Fi art gallery where she exhibited her work together with Anderson Debernardi and other amazing artists from the “Art Collider” Community. Her biggest fascination is to combine art with the shape of the human. Next to working as a tattoo artist, she creates “visionary art” inspired paintings and digital artworks.Nowadays she also works as an NFT artist for the Nexus Ecosystem network to create characters which “live” in a metaverse-inspired fantasy world that displays the different characteristics of each crypto currency.
